Get Involved

Not-for-profit organisations offer several opportunities for supporters to get involved with their cause. Listed below are some ways you can support non-profits to move towards its goals:

Donation:- Contributing funds is definitely one of the most instant way of helping a non-profit. Aside from donating on a regular day, you can also choose to donate on special days such as birthdays, anniversaries, achievements, festivals, or any other important day in your life. As they say, happiness shared is happiness doubled, so make your special day more memorable by helping someone in need!

Conduct fundraising campaigns:- These campaigns are a good way to invite our circle of associates – be it family, friends, neighbours, or colleagues to support a social cause. Being part of a digital age, you can make your campaign viral by leveraging on your social media friends and followers. The best part about these campaigns is you can conduct it online or offline and you can choose your own target audience that could include all or remain specific to people in your neighbourhood, colleagues at your workplace, or friends in your social media network. More the support, more is the impact, so create your fundraising campaign and unleash your hidden potential to garner support for a desirable change!

Sign up for Volunteer Engagement Programme:- All NGOs have a dedicated programme to engage volunteers. In fact, there are many NGOs that operate completely with the support of volunteers. As Elizabeth Andrew rightly words it, “Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart”, so step forward to contribute your time and skill to bring about a lasting change in the area of social cause that’s closest to your heart.

Be a knowledge partner:- If you or your company is equipped with the expertise that can help a non-profit organisation to scale up their operations or better organise their activities, then you can engage yourself as a knowledge partner. For example: if you are working in the water purification industry, then you may tie-up with a non-profit organisation that is working to conserve water and provide clean drinking water to people. Quoting Marsha Blackburn, “Everyone has a transferable commodity – knowledge. Sharing your unique expertise and making introductions for someone creates a lasting legacy”, so let your knowledge create the desirable world you have always dreamt of!
